Interested in a Workshop or Demonstration?

I offer group demonstrations in portrait/figure watercolor painting. Whether your group comprises of beginners eager to learn the fundamentals, or a more experienced group of artists seeking to expand their skills, my demonstrations offer participants an opportunity to learn both through observation and engaging discussion. I cover various topics, including:

  • Light and shadow
  • Understanding the relationship between water, pigment, and paper
  • Watercolor materials
  • Color theory
  • Visual design principles
  • Common mistakes and challenges with watercolor

Each demonstration typically lasts 1.5 hours and includes a Q&A session.

I also offer full day (6-8 hours) / multi-day (2-3 days) workshops in watercolor, where participants can learn drawing fundamentals (lines, shapes, edges, proportions, relationships, gestalt, contours, gestures) in addition to painting. Learning in a group setting fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, allowing participants to learn from each other and share their experiences. They will also receive personalized feedback and guidance.

Contact me for questions or to ask for an example of past demonstrations. My goal is to tailor a demonstration or workshop to your group’s unique needs.

What Participants Are Saying

Thanks for the wonderful demo and presentation you gave LRWG on Thursday! It was totally enjoyed by all of our membership. We appreciated that you were set up and ready to go and timely in arrival. You told us a lot about ways to attach our papers to our boards and gave us some good examples of the different types of watercolor paper you use. We have members at all levels, so this was good information. Your demo of a portrait was very helpful information and enlightened us with your knowledge of the human face. All very useful info for all levels. We could see you doing a workshop on portraits! Thanks again for the great demonstration!
